ong: Matchbox Twenty – “Bright Lights”
Link: ♫ http://twt.fm/356432
About: I can’t say that I agree with everything that Rob Thomas has recorded. Nor can I say I necessarily agree with everything Matchbox Twenty has done. I can say, though, that the songs they’ve chosen as “singles” are pretty damn great. As a guy who generally dislikes singles more than the rest of an album, this is a pretty big deal. This particular song has all the elements of a well rounded hit. A huge outro with a screaming guitar solo, with a wonderful slide guitar part just lightly hanging out in the background of the verses. Overall a wonderful listen. This is a live version, but still very exciting.
